Koala Cherries employ people for picking, packing and other various seasonal roles from November to January.

Following are details of the roles available during the harvest.
packing

team leaders
We are looking for experienced applicants to lead a large team on the packing line. Must be a great communicator, fast thinker, with effective time management and problem-solving skills.
grader operators
Must have excellent computer skills (advanced Excel). Any of the following would be advantageous:
- Prior experience with any fresh produce grading software
- IT/Programming knowledge
- Great leadership and communication skills
forklift drivers
Experienced forklift drivers are required over the harvest to work in our Packhouse at Yarck. Successful applicants must have the following:
- Current forklift license
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Pallet and high lifts up to 4.3 metres
fruit quality monitors - packhouse and farms
Duties include testing and assessing cherries, identifying defects and communicating these to management. Records are entered into our software program so good computer skills and a high level of attention to detail. Previous experience preferred.
administration support
We are seeking applications from people with a wide range of administration skills to assist with the smooth running of the business. Experience in Logistics (export focus), Dispatch and general office skills (answering phones, data entry and recruitment support) will be highly regarded. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and relevant experience will assist you in securing one of these roles.
cleaners - general (packhouse and farms)
We are looking for cleaners to clean amenities, staff rooms and offices during the harvest. Staff must be available to work general day shift hours, and weekends if rostered. A good level of fitness is required. Experience would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
production line cleaners
We are seeking applications for end of day cleaners to clean our production equipment. Hours will be from late afternoon to late evening. Must be reliable, reasonably fit and have good attention to detail. Experience in plant and equipment cleaning would be advantageous. Training will be provided.
truck drivers - we have filled all our truck driver roles
Experienced truck drivers are sought for the harvest. Work is varied and consists of:
- Deliveries and pickups at various location in greater Melbourne. This may be required at night or during the day.
- Local deliveries/pickups in Yarck, the surrounding areas and Cobram.
To fill these roles you will require:
- Current HR or HC license
- Flexibility to work day, afternoon and night shifts (including weekends)
- Excellent driving history
- Current forklift license preferred
Note - as part of this role you will be required to complete computer-based inductions.
